Nigersaurus(meaning “Niger’s Lizard”) is a species ¬†of diplodocoid(rebbachisaurid) from Middle Cretaceous of the Sahara Desert. Nigersaurus had a shovel-shaped snout that contained 500-600 teeth, each could be replaced about eight times. It was described in 1999 by Paul Sereno. It wasn’t until 2005 that it became popular because that’s when Paul Sereno noted on the shovel snout. It had a short neck compared to other sauropods.
